Mamie, your earlier shots of repetition made the following jump out at me from a fundraising letter written by Jeanette Stokes, the head of Resource Center for Women and Ministry in the South:
"The human eye enjoys repetition: waves on a beach, rows of corn, columns on a building, bricks in a sidewalk. Our bodies are comforted by the rhythms of the tide, the sun coming up everyday, the moon waxing and waning."
I like the thought of what the eye and the body like. There is sure a visceral satisfaction in looking at some images.
