Clouded Vision

This past weekend, I was obsessed with clouds. It started in the car, where I snapped pix with my phone:

Then, the next day, as we rode around on the water, I tried out my polarized filter:

And finally, we anchored and cooked out with friends. I, however, was unsociable, and sat on the front of the boat taking more pictures of clouds.

They posed perfectly.

Damn, girl.

Are you on Flickr?

2nd from last is, imho, the best. Interesting composition.

Aren't polarized filters awesome? Circular is best--you can adjust it to help with light on the water, light coming too strong from one side (or reflecting off something in your pic) as well as for more def in clouds.

I go through spells, too. Hands one week, clouds another. Or I'll spend weeks taking hundreds of shots of my parrot. Or I'll go several times to the same location and shoot and re-shoot it.

It's a good way to learn your subject, I think.
