Beautiful pictures, Mamie! Water photography is a very artistic medium. I love nature pictures. They are relaxing, stimulating, inspirational, etc. Keep the photos coming!!

Thanks, Allison. I love the combination of light and water. At the marina, I find myself looking around constantly to find places where there is a good play between the two.

I had one similar to the first one that I used for the "Light" theme a while back. Obviously it works either way -- light or water!.

And I love the reflection shot in the second frame too. Well done on the whole series!

Thanks, Mojo, and thanks for turning me on to the weekly theme. I look forward to it as much as I look forward to the new PostSecrets. Let's see: I have Sunday and Monday covered on the excitement front - can the rest of the week be far behind?

Wow! These are all great! Both posts! But what is the grey part of the first photo? At first, I thought it was some kind of sea creature staring up at me through the shallow water (I don't have my contact in, so ignore me if I'm being an idiot), but when I clicked for the larger view, I didn't see it anymore...

Smarmoofus, It's just where something has built up sand while digging out a hole. Some sea creature - crab? sand fiddler? A scientist I'm not! Glad you liked the pictures.
